Santa Letter Volunteering During Holidays

Text of the letter:

Dear ______________,

It’s me, Santa, with a happy holiday message for you. I wanted to let you know about all the fun and helpful opportunities you and your family and friends have for volunteering during this time of year. Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community, and to spread Christmas cheer.

You could spend some time at a homeless shelter, soup kitchen, or food bank. These places always need volunteers. Children can’t always participate in every role, but I bet that you could help collect donations of food, or look into serving meals alongside your grownups.

Another possibility is doing a little work that helps raise money for a charitable cause or organization. Are you good at wrapping gifts or willing to learn? Perhaps you could volunteer to wrap packages in exchange for donations. Speaking of donations, you could also collect items for a toy drive. Or, help set up at a local festival or parade.

I know that people at nursing homes and senior centers would love a visit from a kid like you. Singing Christmas carols can spread a lot of joy! You could also consider visiting a hospital or animal shelter. Ask a grownup for help in reaching out to learn what these places might need.

I am very proud that you have a heart for giving and spreading cheer during the holidays. That is a positive attitude that will serve you all year long.

Love,

Santa
