Text of the letter:
Dear _______________,
Christmas is almost here! It’s such a wonderful time for family and friends to be together and celebrate. I’m sure you have all kinds of traditions, whether it’s hanging stockings or singing carols or baking a special treat.
I know it must be hard this year with your parent away serving the country. Being in a military family isn’t easy. I’m proud of how well you’ve handled things. But remember, it’s OK to miss your parent, and you should be sure to reach out and talk to a trusted grownup about your feelings.
I’m packing up my sleigh soon, and will be dropping off your gifts as usual on Christmas night. If it’s possible, it would be so fun for your parent to watch you open them over a video call.
Love,
Santa
