You have done so well during the pandemic, protecting your family by wearing your mask and practicing social distancing. I know it was hard being too young for the vaccine, but the scientists wanted to make sure that it was safe for young boys and girls like you.
When you wrote to me last year, I had no idea that the coronavirus would still be affecting our communities like this. It makes me very sad. But I am also so proud of how kids have stepped up and done their part to fight Covid-19.
I am wishing and hoping very hard that, with everyone working together, this will be the last Christmas that we have to worry about this virus.
